PAGES FROM AN IDLER'S DIARIES
Abhishek Narayan Verma named this project Pages from an Idler’s Diaries because practicing art was almost a taboo in his family and after joining visual arts he has always faced situations in which people from his village and society have questioned what he was up to and tried to make him realise that he is an idler. Those constant comments nudged him to look forward.
The artist’s diaries are kind of his daily life journal and a great resource for creating his final artworks. This is the safest place for him where he spends time with himself jotting, drawing, writing poems in vernacular language as well as thinking about and documenting every small situation and everyday conditions. These everyday conditions of his own world help him make up the existence of the characters Abhishek depicts.
